IN THE AIR... AND DROPPED! Glenn Maxwell of all people. This one slightly nips into the batter from off, on a fuller length. Abhishek Sharma again shapes to go downtown, but does not get his bat underneath the ball and airs it high in the night sky towards mid off. The ball hangs up for an eternity and Glenn Maxwell has enough time to settle under it. He backtracks, but eventually drops it. A single taken. A big reprieve for Abhishek in the first over itself. But that should have been taken by Maxwell's standards.

FOUR! All class! On middle, on a fuller length, shaping back in. Shubman Gill prods forward and flicks it between mid on and mid-wicket for a boundary. Phew! What a first over. 11 runs off it. 

On a hard length, just outside off, Abhishek Sharma advances ahead and lofts it over cover-point. Nathan Ellis from deep backward point cleans it up. Two taken. 

Good length, on middle and leg, Abhishek shimmies down again and works it wide of mid on for a single. 

Hits the deck hard, does Xavier. Outside off, Gill dabs it off the back foot to backward point. 

Shapes back in from a fuller length, Shubman Gill gets a bit across and knocks it firmly to mid on. 

FOUR! A shot of authority! Fractionally fuller, on off, Shubman Gill charges down the track and crunches it between mid off and extra cover for a boundary. 

Skidding off the deck on a length, outside off, Shubman Gill slashes it through backward point for a single. 

FOUR! Sweetly timed! Angles across off, on a fuller length. Shubman Gill leans forward and cracks the cover drive for a boundary through the gap. 

Closer to the stumps, on a good length, on off, Shubman Gill waits back and steers it to backward point. 

FOUR! Not quite timed well, but enough on it to find the fence! Fuller from Ben, on middle, Shubman Gill dances down the track and heaves it a bit uppishly. It is played off the inner half of the bat, but Gill manages to get it over mid-wicket for a boundary. 

FOUR! Through the gap! Dwarshuis changes the angle and comes from around the stumps. Hits the length hard, angling in on off, Shubman Gill waits for it to arrive and cuts it past backward point for a boundary. 

FOUR! Geez, that has been struck powerfully! Short of a good length, on middle, Shubman Gill stands tall, picks the length and pulls it to deep square leg for the fourth boundary of the over. 

The stumps are attacked on a good length, Shubman Gill gets on the front foot and taps it to the point region with soft hands. This has been some start for the Indians. 16 runs from Ben Dwarshuis's second over. 2-0-27-0 are his figures so far.

Abhishek Sharma shapes to pull, but gets a thick top edge that flies behind square on the leg side. Ben Dwarshuis from deep fine leg runs forward to settle under it, but puts down a straightforward chance as he tries to take it while crouching a bit. Probably, he had a bit of a concentration lapse with the fielder converging from the inner ring. But another sitter shelled. Two runs taken.
