FOUR! What a lovely shot this is from Brook! Good-length delivery, just outside off, with quite some pace. Harry Brook plants his front foot toward the delivery and just pushes it toward the right of the short cover fielder, who dives to stop it but the ball moves like a tracer bullet and races away for four runs. 

FOUR BYES! A good bouncer from Fernando, on off and middle, angling in. Harry arches back and looks to upper cut it but misses. The ball dies as it reaches the keeper. Mendis dives to his left but the ball zips past him and rolls away toward deep fine leg for four runs. 

Full, on leg, Brook flicks it to deep square leg for one. 

Hasaranga sees the batter coming down the track, so he bowls it wide outside off. Harry does well to get some part of his bat to backward point and returns back to his home.

Short, just outside off, Joe Root punches it from his back foot to long on for a single. 

Short, just outside off, Brook punches it to sweeper cover for a single. 

This is fuller, on off, Root drives it on his front foot to long on and pushes hard for the first run as he wants the second run. He reaches the non-striker's end and sets off to get the second, but Brook sees that the fielder already gets the ball is ready to throw it. He rejects the call and sends his partner back just in time. 

SIX! FIFTY FOR BROOK! What a way to bring up a half-century. This one is fuller, just outside off. Brook plays inside out and lofts it over the sweeper cover fence for a half a dozen to get to his half-century. 

Fuller, on off, Root mistimes his drive to mid off and the ball bounces off back to the bowler.

Root flicks it to deep mid-wicket and gets the single. That is his 20th ODI century and what an inning it has been. He opens up his helmet and raises his bat to soak up all the cheers from the away fans as well as from the pavilion.

FOUR! Now these two batters will just take on the bowlers! Arm ball from Dunith Wellalage, on middle and leg. Brook shuffles a bit into the off side and paddles it toward the right of the short fine leg fielder for four runs. 

FOUR! Placed to perfection. Dragged short on off, Root picks the length early, goes back and across, before slogging it between square leg and mid-wicket for a boundary.

Bowled flatter at the stumps, tapped away through mid on for a single.

WIDE. Tossed up, fuller and wider outside off. This osn turns beyond the tramline.

Good length, in line with the stumps. Brook punches it down to long on for one more.

Tossed up around off, Root comes down the pitch and shanks the lofted shot on the bounce to long off. Just a single again.

Flighted ball outside off, Brook skips down the track and slashes the lofted drive over covers and picks up a couple of runs.

SIX! Oh, just over. Poor delivery from Hasaranga, dragged short on middle and leg. Harry Brook goes deep in the crease and clubs it over Pathum Nissanka at cow corner for a maximum. Wanindu ends with figures of 10-0-76-1, not what his team needed from him.

Bowled well short on middle, Root swivels on the back foot and shovels it away to the left of deep square leg for a couple of runs.

Floated up around leg, Root sits down and paddles it down to fine leg for a single.

SIX! Wow, that's been made look so easy by Brook. Just marginally short around middle, Harry Brook sits on the back foot and clubs it over deep mid-wicket for a huge six. That was played almost like a short-arm pull.
