Varun Chakaravarthy bowls the arm ball on a fuller length and gets the ball to skid through on leg, Shivam Dube gets hurried trying to tuck it on leg and gets beaten onto his front pad. The relays roll on and UltraEdge confirms there was no spike but the BallTracking shows that the pitch was outside leg and the onfield call stays as NOT OUT!

FOUR! Round-arm from Mitchell Starc and that was begging to be hit. Dragged down at just over 131 clicks over middle, Shivam Dube muscles it away in front of square on the leg side and picks up a boundary.

Right on the money! Nails the inswinging yorker on off stump at over 141 clicks but Shivam Dube manages to dig it out through mid on for a single.

Good length around leg stump and Ruturaj Gaikwad gets cramped for room and has to just defend it back on the deck.

FOUR! Mitchell Starc errs twice in the over and both times he gets punished. Dragged down around the hips at 131.6 clicks, easy pace for Ruturaj Gaikwad to swivel and pull it away over backward square leg for another boundary. Just 29 needed now off 36 balls.

Held back a touch and bowled onto off and middle, Ruturaj Gaikwad watchfully defends it on the off side.

Fires this one in at the toes and Ruturaj Gaikwad manages to get the font leg out and jam it down to long on for a single.

OUT! BOWLED'EM! Daryl Mitchell was looking to play his shots and Sunil Narine has outfoxed him here. Narine floats this one up and pulls the length back just a bit as well. Kolkata get their second wicket and the stand is finally broken.

A dot to end the powerplay and Chennai are motoring along at 53/1 at the end of 6. Bowls this nicely on a good length, on middle and off, Ruturaj Gaikwad blocks it back onto the deck. 

FOUR! Pure class from Ruturaj Gaikwad. Flighted delivery full and outside off, Gaikwad with an initial movement to the leg side but keeps his balance and just caresses the ball through covers for a boundary.

Sent back and rightly so! Bowled flatter and quicker, fired into the legs, Ruturaj Gaikwad gets pushed back and jams the ball out in front of square leg.

A big appeal from behind the stumps for LBW but the bowler feels there might have been an inside edge and the umpire doesn't raise his finger either. The keeper, Phil Salt likes it and Shreyas Iyer does take the review. The third umpire is called in and on the very first replay he concludes that there was indeed a big inside edge. That is a review wasted and Anukul Roy should have been more confident as well. This is bowled on a tad fuller length on off and middle and comes on with the arm, Ruturaj Gaikwad looks to defend it out but gets an inside edge back onto the pads.

Ravindra tries to whack it over mid on but seems to have forgotten that the man has now been pushed back and the timing isn't quite there. The ball flies down to long on where Varun Chakaravarthy takes a simple catch and Ravidra has to walk back after a quick start.

Excellent running! Good length and outside off stump, Daryl Mitchell stays well forward and moves to the off side before just bunting it in front of point for a quick single.

Hard length in the channel, Ruturaj Gaikwad withdraws the hands back and dabs the ball down to third man for one more.

Gets away with it and that's well fielded by Mitchell Starc. Fuller one, floated on the legs, Daryl Mitchell flicks it to the left of short fine leg where Starc dives across and saves a certain boundary. Starc does seem to be in a bit of physical pain as well.

No wide given and Daryl Mitchell doesn't review it either. Banged in well short and outside off, Mitchell tries to reach for it and play the uppercut but fails to do so. A couple of dots to end an effective over from Vaibhav Arora.

WIDE! Looking for the magic outswinger to the left-hander from the pads but spills it well down the leg side for a wide.

Pitched up in and around the off stump, Rachin Ravindra gets on the front foot and punches it away to extra cover.

FOUR! Top shot! Full on middle at 143 clicks, looking for some swing but this one slides on well and Rachin Ravindra hits it through the line and straight down the ground for a boundary.

FOUR! Up and over! Another one that is pitched up on the stumps at over 140 clicks, Rachin Ravindra leans back a bit before extending his arms and thumping it over mid on for another boundary.

FOUR! Starc certainly needs a breather it seems as 15 runs come off that over. Looks for the yorker at the toes but ends up serving a juicy full toss on the pads and angling down leg, Rachin Ravindra just gets enough bat on it and the ball zips past short fine leg for a boundary.

On a hard length and well outside off, Ruturaj Gaikwad prods across and just taps the ball on the head, getting it past the diving man at backward point and wide of third man for a couple of runs.

Fullish length pushed wide of the off stump, Ruturaj Gaikwad doesn't move his feet and just throws his bat at it but the ball stays low and goes past the willow.

Perfect length, bowls it on a tight line around off stump, Ruturaj Gaikwad with a solid front-foot defense.

Brings out the surprise bumper now and directed it well over the middle stump, Ruturaj Gaikwad has to duck under it.

FOUR! Cheeky and effective from Ruturaj Gaikwad. Another bumper but it is of the slower kind and outside off, Gaikwad looks to duck under it but the slowness of the surface allows him to re-adjust and just ramp it over short third for a boundary.

A sneaky single to get off the mark! Steams in and pitches it up on a bit on off stump searching for some swing. Rachin Ravindra gets pushed back and gets an inside edge onto the back leg as the ball rolls past silly point and they scamper through one.

Good length on the pads and swinging in at 142 clicks, Ruturaj Gaikwad just tucks it away a bit uppishly and in front of the man at deep backward square leg for a couple of runs. Gaikwad is off the mark right away as well.
