भारत vs वेस्ट इंडीज, पहला टी20, भारत रत्न श्री अटल बिहारी वाजपई एकाना क्रिकेट स्टेडियम, लखनऊ, 06 October 2026 - लाइव कमेंट्री

Flighted ball, a bit full and outside off. Iyer leans on and pushes it towards cover-point for a quick single.

Oh, a bit of hold in the deck now. Fractionally short of a good length, on off, and this one turns as well. Kishan is taken aback and has to fend it down.

Four! That is pulled through the on side. The ball races to the fence in no time.

Drifted well into the pads, looking to turn it away. Samson presses back and plays it with a straight bat to mid on.

Another in-drifter, a bit fuller and on leg. Samson makes a bit of room and pushes it to the left of the bowler.

OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! A complete miscue, and Akeal Hosein picks up a wicket in his 100th T20I game. This is darted in quicker by Hosein and bowled into the turf, over middle. Sanju Samson looks to rock back and whack it over mid-wicket but splices it back to the bowler. Hosein hops up a bit in his follow-through and snaffles it with both hands. Samson's dry run of form continues, and India are now 35/2 inside the first 4 overs.

The arm ball now, speared back in from outside off. Shreyas Iyer stabs it away into the off side.

A touch fuller and on off, Iyer takes a step to the off side and punches it down to long off for a single.

Fast hands from Kishan, but he can't pierce the infield. Angled across the off stump, Kishan slams it away towards cover-point, where Shamar Joseph makes a sharp stop.

Straighter one at 93 clicks, Sanju Samson taps it down to long on and milks a single.

FOUR! Slammed away this time by Abhishek. Flatter one around off, Sharma makes room leg side and gets enough width to slap it over the point region for a boundary.

OUT! CAUGHT! Abhishek Sharma lives and dies by the sword, and that is a really good take by Shimron Hetmyer. Roston Chase changes the angle by coming over the wicket, and he darts this one across the left-hander. Sharma keeps moving around in his crease, and he yet again backs away to go over the off side. However, Sharma miscues it high over extra cover and Hetmyer comes charging across from long off, putting in a late dive to pouch it brilliantly with both hands. The third umpire has a quick look at the legality of the catch, but it's all fine.

Nagging length, on middle. Ishan Kishan leans on to work it leg side, but gets an inside edge past the short fine leg fielder, picking up a couple of runs.

Dropped well short and outside off, this is cut away behind point for a single.

That's brilliant work in the field by Shamar Joseph. Shortish length, turning back in towards off. Sanju Samson hops back and punches it sweetly past cover. Joseph sprints after it and flicks the ball back in play, saving a run for his side.

FOUR! An eye-catching shot from Samson. Floated up wide outside off, slightly turning away. Samson extends his arms, smacking it down through covers for a boundary.

Hosein gets lucky here. The length is pulled back, and this is bowled short and wide outside off. Samson goes after it but finds the man at covers, who makes a half-stop, and it will only be a single.

Pitched around the leg stump, pushing the ball towards the pads. Sharma nudges it 'round the corner on the leg side.

Not enough power behind it. Good length around leg, Abhishek Sharma backs away and lofts it straight back over the bowler's head. The ball lands well to the right of Rovman Powell at long on and plugs, and the batters pick up a single.

The attempted arm-ball now. Full and straight, Sanju Samson defends it off the inside edge to mid-wicket and pinches a run.

Forced over the off side. Pushed through on a length and on leg, Abhishek Sharma once again backs away and ends up slicing it over the cover region. Sherfane Rutherford at extra cover runs after it and chases it down, keeping it down to two runs.

Some swing right away for Forde. Good length, slanting back into the pads. Sanju Samson tucks it down through square leg and gets off the mark with a single.

SIX! Abhishek Sharma gets off the mark in Abhishek Sharma style. Back of a length over off and middle, sitting up a bit. Sharma just lays into it and clubs it over long on for a biggie.

FOUR! It all seems too easy for Sharma at the moment. Back of a length again from Forde, wider of the off stump. Abhishek stands tall and punches it through covers for a boundary.

Much better length from Forde. Pitched fuller on off and middle, Abhishek Sharma gets his hands out in front to make the block.

FOUR! Too straight this time. Sliding it into the pads, not looking to actually swing the ball. Sharma just flicks it off the legs and the ball skips down to long leg for a boundary.

Forde comes over the wicket and gets the ball to nip away from the left-hander. Sharma leaves it alone. 15 off the first over, and India's chase is off to a flier.
