भारत vs वेस्ट इंडीज, तीसरा वनडे, पीसीए इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट स्टेडियम, ग्राउंड A, न्यू चंडीगढ़, 03 October 2026 - हाइलाइट्स

On a good length, on middle. Forde tries to turn it away on the leg side but gets a soft leading edge back towards the bowler.

FOUR! Up and over. Dropped short by Kuldeep, across off. Forde backs away and slams it over the head of the man at extra cover. The sub fielder, Yashasvi Jaiswal covers a lot of ground to his left from long off and dives but the ball sneaks under his hand and hits the boundary cushions.

OUT! TAKEN! End of a scratchy stay for Matthew Forde. Kuldeep serves the googly, on the shorter side, on off. Forde hops back in the crease and takes the risk of going against the turn as he looks to pull. He fails to get hold of it and holes out to deep mid-wicket, where Naman Dhir steadies himself in front of the boundary cushions and takes a safe catch. West Indies are now 290/5, requiring 62 runs from 39 balls.

Flighted up, on off. Motie knocks it to long off for a single.

Going away, on a length. Hope punches it to long on for one more.

Half a shout for caught behind! Given as a wide by the umpire. Quicker through the air, on a good length. Motie tries to tickle it fine but fails to lay any bat on it. KL Rahul moves to his right and snaffles it before going up in an appeal. There was a noise but it seemed to be from the ball brushing the pad.

Did that carry? Floated up, on off. Motie winds up and smashes it back towards the bowler. Kuldeep gets low to make the stop.

Full and outside off. Hope drives it to deep point for a single.

In the channel, on a length. Motie pushes away from his body and is beaten past the outside edge.

Slips in the yorker, on off. Motie makes room and has a swing at it but fails to connect. Brar got excited for a moment there but the sound was from the bat hitting the turf.

Another dot. Banged in short, outside off. Motie flashes but is beaten for pace and he fails to connect.

On a hard length, wide on off. Motie hops and slaps it to deep point for one.

Low full toss at the pads at 140.9 kph, Hope clips it in front of square on the leg side and walks the single. Just 3 runs off the over. West Indies need 56 runs in 30 balls.

SIX! The tourists will hope that this is one of many to come. Into the slot, at the stumps. Shai Hope gets on the front foot by collapsing his back knee and clubs it downtown for a six. West Indies cross 300 and need 50 runs to win from 29 balls.

FOUR MORE! That's a fine shot! A googly, full on leg. Shai Hope gets low on his back knee and sweeps it over backward square leg, finds the gap, and picks up another boundary.

Wide! Dishes out a googly, touch full and beyond the tramline. Hope lets it be.

Beats the bat! Quicker through the air, on a length, outside off. Shai Hope stays put and looks to cut it away, but the ball goes on to beat his outside edge.

A touch short, outside off, Hope hangs back and cuts it powerfully towards cover-point. Mohammed Siraj dives to his right and makes a half-stop with the ball parrying to the backward point region. One run taken.

At the pads, on a length, Motie nudges it to deep mid-wicket, but they do not run.

Pitched on a length, drifting into the batter. Motie hangs back and whips it away to wide long on. Once again, they stay put. West Indies need 44 runs from 24 balls.

FOUR! Through the gap! Expertly played by Hope. Brar slips in a low full toss, on the leg stump. Hope backs away to create room and slices it between the backward point and cover fielders for a boundary. A promising start to the over for West Indies.

FOUR! HAMMERED AWAY! Overpitched by Brar, outside the off stump. Shai Hope gets under the ball properly and carves it powerfully, a bit flat and wide of the cover fielder for a cracking boundary. 36 needed off 22 balls now. This is getting really interesting.

Short of a length, on middle, Shai Hope gets on top of the bounce and swats it on the bounce to long on for a single.

Play and a miss! Bangs it short and outside the off stump. Gudakesh Motie looks to play the ramp shot but the ball keeps climbing on him and beats the bat to sail behind to the keeper.

Short and outside off, Motie stands up on his toes and steers it to the left of deep third for a couple of runs. Anshul Kamboj should have thrown the ball to the bowling end, where Shai Hope was struggling to complete the run.

FOUR! Gets it away and there's the big over West Indies were looking for. 15 runs from it. 29 needed from 18. Brar goes for the yorker, but Motie reads it well, opening his stance to expose the stumps and steering it fine to the right of the backward point fielder for a boundary.

Steams in from around the stump and nails the yorker on the money, Shai Hope jams the bat down and squeezes it off the inside half towards deep backward square leg for a single. He hobbles through the first run and eyes a second, but it simply isn't on offer.

A thigh-high full toss on the leg stump. Motie backs away to loft it over covers, but gets it high on the bat and shanks it over cover-point for just a single.

FOUR! 150 up for Hope! And that's the second time he has reached this figure in his ODI career. Kamboj misses the yorker by a yard or so, continuing from around the stumps. Hope clears the front leg and swings it over wide mid-wicket for a boundary. And to make matters worse for India, it is a NO BALL for overstepping. Free Hit coming up!

FOUR! Makes the most of it. Too full and around the off stump, angling away from the batter. Shai Hope carves it wide of extra cover and beats Jadeja's chase to his right for a cracking boundary. 18 needed off 15 balls now.

At 128.9 kph, short on middle, Hope rides the bounce and pulls it to deep mid-wicket for a single.

TOP EDGE, FOUR! West Indies are in the ascendancy now. Comes from over the stumps and slams it hard into the pitch. Short on top of the stumps with a spongy bounce. Gudakesh Motie swings hard to pull over the leg side, but gets a massive top edge. The ball sails over the keeper and speeds to the fence behind.

SIX! Goes the distance and that should be the game for West Indies. A massive over as 22 runs come from it. Just 7 runs needed off the last 12 balls. Short delivery around off and middle, Motie clears the front leg and nails the pull away over the long leg fence for a six.

SIX! SCORES ARE LEVEL! A juicy full toss by Dhir, on the pads. Shai Hope gets down on his back knee and sweeps it aerially, clearing the deep fine leg fence for a biggie.

There's the winning run. And fittingly, it comes from the skipper's bat. West Indies win by 5 wickets and 10 balls to spare. A win for them on Indian soil in this format after a long, long time, and this one will taste much sweeter, having also avoided a series whitewash in the process. Tossed up on a fuller length, outside off. Hope hangs back and eases this one down to long off with the smoothest of drives for a single. A record-breaking chase for the men in maroon, and it is the captain, battling through a niggle for nearly half the innings, who finishes the job in style.
