Hurls it on a short of a good length, on off. JJ punches it sweetly and the ball pings off his blade but he picks out Dewald Brevis at backward point.

Around the off stump and Bosch continues to be on the back of a length. Smit knocks it off the back foot to cover.

Bosch goes wide on the crease and slams the deck hard, getting the ball to rear up a bit, on middle. Smit adjusts to the steep bounce and fends it down the pitch.

Full toss, on off. Green carves it to deep cover for a run.

Tossed up and slows it down, on off. Smit lunges across for the drive but drags an inside edge onto the pads.

Fired in full and on middle. JJ drills it back to the bowler.

Wide! Fortuin spots Smit backing away and he tries to push it wider. Smit can't reach it and lets it through.

FOUR! Lovely shot. Flighted up, on off, Smit reaches across and manages to get under the ball as he goes inside out over cover for a boundary.

Angles in a full ball, on middle. Smit hits it on the bounce down to long on. They cross.

Shorter and on middle. Green pulls it through square leg and keeps the strike with a single.

Begins with an off-pace delivery, on a good length, on off. Green crouches and initially looks to force it away but he picks the change of pace late and eventually just leaves his bat hanging to be beaten past the outside edge.

Out comes the slower, short ball, on off. Green gets his hands high and drags the pull in front of square on the leg side for one more run.

Slips in a full ball at pace and aimed at the sticks. Smit forces it towards wide mid off and crosses over.

OUT! TAKEN! Lack of communication, but a collision is averted, and the catch is completed. Jansen takes pace off and floats it up there, outside off. Green hangs low and reaches out, swinging at the ball. He is early to swing through the line, and one hand comes off the bat handle. It is skied behind point off the outer half of the blade. Connor Esterhuizen goes after it from backward point while Kwena Maphaka also converges from deep third. Kwena keeps charging in but manages to avoid bumping into Connor, who gets under the high ball and takes a good catch.

Half a shout for caught behind but turned down. Angled in at the hips, on the shorter side. Ruben Trumpelmann swivels for the pull but fails to make any connection. There was a noise but it seemed to have been from the ball grazing the thigh pad.

SIX! That has gone back a long way. A half-tracker by Fortuin, on middle. Smit rocks back and with a solid base, he smokes it way over deep mid-wicket for a biggie.

Not in control but safe. Looped up by Bjorn, on off. Smit throws his hands at the ball and it is skewed off the outer half but he manages to clear the inner ring. It drops safely beyond the reach of the two fielders behind point. Two taken.

Full and speared in at the pads, swept straight to short fine leg.

FOUR! Dispatched! Dropped short by Fortuin, on off. Smit lets the ball come on and frees his arms to cut it to the right of the backward point fielder. It races away in a flash.

SIX! Clean as a whistle. Fired in by Fortuin, right in the slot, on middle. Smit clears the front leg and swings through the line as he wallops it over long on for half a dozen.

Nails a wide yorker, does Fortuin. JJ fails to reach out.

SIX! Ruben Trumpelmann gets in on the six-hitting act now. Kwena Maphaka bangs it into the deck but fails to get it high enough to trouble the tall batter. Ruben stays put and nails the pull well over the deep square leg fence.

Wide! Kwena goes searching for the yorker but drifts beyond the tramline outside off. 

A big swing and a miss! Pushes it across the right-hander, on a back of a length. Trumpelmann leaves nothing in the tank and swings with all his might but can only connect with thin air.

A lot straighter now and fuller as well, on middle and leg. Trumpelmann gets the front leg out of the way and lofts it down to long on for one.

Wide! Flirting with the tramline on off, on a back of a length. Smit flashes but fails to make any connection. Wide given and Kwena is not happy with the call.

Kwena goes searching for the yorker but ends up serving a full toss, on off. Smit slices it off the outer half to deep point for a single.

FOUR! Runs for the batter, moral victory for the bowler. A well-disguised slower one, on a back of a length, on off. Ruben Trumpelmann takes a step back in the crease and sets himself up for the pull. He is undone by the slowness of the ball and just hangs his bat out in the end. A top edge is found but the ball sails over the head of the keeper and the short third fielder stands no chance either.

FOUR! Scythed away. Fractionally short, outside off. Smit hangs back and makes use of the width on offer as he slams it wide of point for a boundary.

OUT! CAUGHT! JJ Smit holes out. Prenelan fires in a full ball, on middle. Smit tries to get under the ball and launch it downtown but fails to get any sort of elevation on the shot. Hits it flat and straight down the throat of long on, where Jason Smith gobbles it up.

OUT! CLEANED HIM UP! Two in two for Prenelan Subrayen. Prenelan pushes it through once again, very full, almost in the blockhole, on middle. Brassell takes a step or two down the track and cannot get his bat down in time to keep it out. Jack hears the death rattle and Prenelan is on a hat-trick now.

No hat-trick! Yorker attempted by Prenelan but it comes out as a full toss, on middle. Bernard Scholtz gets behind the line and pats it away to long on for a single.

Wide! Floated up, beyond the tramline on off. Ruben lets it through.

A single to end the game. South Africa win by 99 runs (DLS method) to go 1-0 up in the series. Subrayen spears it in very full, on middle. Trumpelmann gets his hands through the line of the ball and cracks it away to long off for one.
