On a length and just outside off, Hardik Pandya looks to drive it but misses. No appeal from the Kiwis but UltraEdge shows that there was an edge on it. A huge opportunity missed then.

This one lands outside off as well, Hardik Pandya guides it to third man for one.

SIX! Excellent timing. Fuller one on off, Suryakumar Yadav lofts it with pure timing and over deep extra covers for a maximum!

FOUR! Forced away. Good length around off, Pandya somehow manages to punch it off the back foot and beats the man at mid off to collect yet another boundary.

SIX! BOOM! What a start this is to the run chase! A bouncer from Southee, over middle and leg. Hardik Pandya gets on top of the bounce and just muscles it over the mid-wicket fence for a biggie.

Good length around middle, Pandya pushes it out towards mid on for a quick single and the 50 is up for India.

Southee goes full and bowls it around off, Suryakumar Yadav pushes it out towards mid off.

Fullish length around off, Yadav plays it with soft hands towards point.

FOUR! Suryakumar Yadav has been watching wickets fall at the other end but the first delivery he faces, he creams it. Full and outside off, this is driven square of the wicket through cover-point for a boundary.

Almost! Adam Milne serves a shortish ball now at the body. Yadav gets cramped for room and the ball lobs up off the inside edge around short leg. Milne tries his best to get there but fails to do so.

Another edge. Full and outside off, Suryakumar Yadav looks to swing across the line but gets a thick outside edge. The ball goes on the bounce to third mand and they get a single.

FOUR! Adam Milne finding the edge with regularity and the ball keeps on following Ish Sodhi. Short and over the stumps, Hardik Pandya gets cramped for room and ends up top=edging it towards third man. Sodhi is slow to react and can't even stop the ball after the bounce.

FOUR! Just short again! Pitched up on middle, Hardik Pandya goes drives it uppishly to the left of the diving fielder at mid on. The ball trickles away into the fence and Adam Milne cannot believe his luck at the moment.

Full and at the pads, flicked away in front of square on the leg side for three runs.

Top delivery! On a nagging length and close to the off pole. Rishabh Pant looks to defend but the ball just nips back in and beats the bat.

FOUR! Full and around off, Pant punches it off the front foot and finds the gap through covers to pick up a boundary.

FOUR! Ish Sodhi is left embarrassed as Rishabh Pant [ppicks up yet another boundary. Full and wide, Pant advances and slices it over backward point. Sodhi runs to his left and overruns the ball, allowing the boundary.

OUT! CAUGHT! Ish Sodhi redeems himself with an excellent grab and similarly to Ishan Kishan, Rishabh Pant too throws his wicket away. Tim Southee bangs this one in short and outside off. Pant backs away and tries to cut it over the point fence. The ball takes the top edge and flies down to third man. Sodhi comes in and dives forward to complete the catch. India lose two early wickets and New Zealand are right on top here.

OUT! CAUGHT! Two in two for Tim Southee and Shreyas Iyer departs for a golden duck. Southee keeps it short and bowls it on a right line around off. Iyer's struggle with the short ball continues as he hops and looks to just guide it from too close to his body. Iyer ends up just pushing it to the right of first slip where James Neesham takes a sharp catch. Southee is now on a hat-trick.

WIDE! Fullish length, down the leg and a wide is called.

WIDE! Banged in short now over leg stump but it is a bit too short for the umpire's liking.

Pitches it up now, full and outside off, Pandya hits it towards mid off.

Lovely timing! Milne starts off with a fullish delivery around off, Rishabh Pant plays a glorious drive through extra cover. The ball slows down though and Tim Southee does well to just pull it back inside. The replays show that the ball might have just hit his hand when he was in contact with the ropes. After many, many replays it is deemed as three runs and not a boundary.

Full and around off, this is driven with good timing but straight towards cover.

Ouch, that must have hurt! Banged in short and over leg stump, at almost 141 clicks. Ishan Kishan takes his eyes off the ball as he looks to pull and the ball hits him flush on the shoulder. Hope he is fine.

FOUR! Ishan Kishan comes back stronger after getting hit and hammers it away. Short of a length and on leg stump, Kishan pulls it away through square leg for a boundary.

Good length, around the top of off and Kishan yet again attempts to pull. This time Kishan misses and gets hit on the thigh pad.

OUT! TAKEN! Adam Milne has his man and Ishan Kishan has thrown his wicket away. Just short of a length and this is pushed well outside off. Kishan is adamant to keep pulling and tries to drag it over the mid-wicket fence. Kishan is unable to control the shot and ends up hitting it high and towards deep mid-wicket. Mark Chapman takes an assured catch on the edge of the boundary and Milne is delighted.

Tim Southee starts off with a full and wide one. Ishan Kishan reaches out and drives it straight to the man at cover-point.

Play and a miss! On a length and outside off, the ball just holds its line and Kishan goes after it with hard hands. Kishan gets beaten past the outside edge.

Pitches it up now on off stump, this is punched on the up towards mid off.

SIX! Ishan Kishan opens his account with a bang! This is short and wide, Kishan is onto it early as he uppercuts this one over the cover fence for a maximum. India are up and running now.

Nicely bowled. Fullish length, in that channel around off and the angle just takes the ball away from the left-hander, beating the outside edge of Kishan's bat.

Swing and a miss! Fuller again and close to the off pole. Ishan Kishan looks to cover drive but is beaten all ends up. 6 runs off the first over then.
