FOUR! Not where he intended but it does not matter one bit. Gujarat will take it any which way they come. The balance of power firmly in Gujarat's favour now, needing 5 runs off three balls. On a fullish length, outside off, Rashid Khan tries to squeeze it out on the off side. Gets it off the toe-end of the bat and it goes past the right glove of the diving Sanju Samson for a boundary.

A few inches to the left or right and it would have been a boundary for Gujarat. Avesh sees the batter make room and follows him with a fullish delivery, Rashid Khan drills it straight into the hands of extra cover and he feels that he missed out there. 4 needed off 2 now.

OUT! RUN OUT! More drama! They had to go for the third run and Rahul Tewatia has sacrificed his wicket for the team here. Gujarat get 2 off the penultimate ball though which leaves them needing 2 off the last ball. Avesh Khan goes into the wicket and it is off-pace as well, around off, Rahul Tewatia waits on it and slaps it over mid off. He does not get enough bat on it to find the fence. Ashwin switches to around the wicket and lands it full, outside off, Rahul Tewatia shimmies down the track and goes inside out. Hits it well over extra cover for four more runs. We are in for an exciting end to this game with Gujarat needing 42 runs from 18 balls.

FOUR! In the gap and Gill starts the over with a boundary again! Yuzvendra Chahal tosses it up, full and outside off, Shubman Gill shimmies down the track and drives it between long off and deep extra cover for a boundary.

FOUR! Two in two for Shubman Gill! Chahal drops it short and outside off, Shubman Gill anticipates the bowler to drag his length and waits in the crease. Slaps it wide of point and beats the man in the deep to his left for four more runs. Just the start to the over Gujarat needed, can they make it a big one?

OUT! STUMPED! Yuzvendra Chahal fights back in grand style! Outfoxes the Gujarat skipper and this is a big blow to Gujarat. Chahal stays over the wicket and offers flight, on a fuller length but keeps it away from the batter. Bowls it near the tramline on off. Gill premeditates and advances down the track. He gets beaten in the flight and fails to get to the pitch of the ball. He reaches out to put bat to ball but it spins away to go past the bat and Sanju Samson does the rest. It is called a wide but it will not matter much to Rajasthan as they get the prized scalp of Gill. The Gujarat skipper is distraught as he trudges off.

Floats it up nicely, full and around off, Shahrukh Khan presses forward and knocks it to the left of the bowler. Chahal dives all over it and lets the ball go under his hands, allowing Khan to open his account.

A loud shout for LBW but this looks to be going down leg. Sanju Samson walks up to Chahal and takes the review with a couple of seconds left on the timer. This was pushed through by Chahal, on a nagging length, on middle and leg, Shahrukh Khan was unsure whether to play it off the back foot or the front foot. FOUR! Picks the gap to perfection does the Gujarat skipper. Chahal fires it in, full and on middle and leg, Shubman Gill presses forward and brings his bottom into play. Hits it between deep mid-wicket and long on for a much-needed boundary. 9 runs off the over but it is still not enough for Gujarat as they need to go at around 12 runs per over with 121 runs needed from the last ten overs.

Coming to the ball, it is pitched up, on off and middle, Sai Sudharsan walks across to the off side and exposes all his stumps, trying to scoop it over short fine leg. Matthew Wade is welcomed with an absolute snorter! Kuldeep Sen bends his back and directs a sharp and quick bumper, at the batter, Matthew Wade gets rushed but does well to duck and get out of the way.

Fuller in length, on the off-stump line, Shubman Gill stays leg side of the ball and drives it through covers for a run.

FOUR! Quality shot from the southpaw! Chahal starts with a delivery that is fractionally short, on middle, Sai Sudharsan is quick to go on the back foot and pulls it to the left of long on for a boundary.

FOUR! Short again and it is four again! Too short from Chahal and offers width as well, Sai Sudharsan uses the depth of the crease and slaps it past extra cover for four more runs.

Slows it up nicely and goes fuller as well, turning in, on middle and leg, Sai Sudharsan uses his feet to work it on the leg side but misses and gets rapped on the front pad.

DROPPED! Yuzvendra Chahal shells it off his own bowling! Yuzvendra Chahal drops it short and it is slower as well, over middle, Sai Sudharsan goes on the back foot and punches it uppishly back to the bowler. Chahal is late to react and the ball hits him on the right thumb and rolls away to long off. We saw how costly dropping Riyan Parag proved to be for Gujarat. How costly will this drop prove for Rajasthan?

A bit too full, on middle and leg, Shubman Gill drives it to wide long on for one more single.

This is slower and shorter, on middle, Sai Sudharsan gets on his toes and places it between deep mid-wicket and deep square leg for a couple of runs. An expensive first over from Chahal, 12 runs off it and a catch that went down as well.

Sliding on with the angle, on a nagging length, on middle and leg, Sai Sudharsan pushes it with a straight bat to long on for a run.

Short and wide on off, Shubman Gill frees his arms and cracks the cut to the left of deep cover. Dhruv Jurel fails to gather it cleanly and a fumble results in the batters taking the second run.

Leg bye! Strays on the pads, on a fullish length, Shubman Gill fails to help it away as the ball rolls off his pads to the right of short fine leg for a leg bye.

SIX! That is a thing of beauty! Avesh goes full and targets the stumps, Shubman Gill presses forward and presents a high elbow. Holds his shape and hits it with a straight bat over mid on for a maximum. This was similar to the one he played in the last game against Punjab in Ahmedabad.

Closer to the off-stump line, on a hard length, Sai Sudharsan punches it square to deep point. A single to end the Powerplay and Gujarat are 44/0. They would have wanted a quicker start but they will be happy to have not lost a wicket so far.

Was that a chance? Tossed up on middle, Sudharsan smashes it to the right of Ravichandran Ashwin who just manages a hand on it. One run.
