 FOUR! Nicely done! Around the leg stump, quicker through the air, Keshara Nuwantha sits across and plays the paddle sweep through short fine leg for a boundary.

Outside off and full, Keshara Nuwantha drives it along the ground to deep extra cover. The sweeper charges to his right and tidies it up. Two runs taken.

OUT! BOWLED! Suthar, fittingly, wraps it up in style, capping off an impressive 6-wicket haul in the process. He also completes a 10-for in this Test, having picked four wickets in the first innings. Sharing the attack with two far more experienced spinners, he has been the standout performer on a Galle surface that offered precious little in return. INDIA WIN BY 165 RUNS and take a 1-0 lead in the two-match Test series. Coming to the ball, Suthar drops it short and around off. Nuwantha goes back to defend, but the ball comes back in, sneaking through the gap between bat and pad before crashing into off stump.

Beaten! Floated up, on off. Nuwantha presses half-forward to block but it rips past the outside edge.

Spinning away, full and outside off, let through by Nuwantha.

Half a shout for LBW, but turned down. Dishes it out full, on middle. Nuwantha gets forward to defend but ekes out an inside edge before the ball goes through the batter's legs.

A much more convincing appeal for LBW this time around, but the finger stays down. Shubman Gill has taken the review. Darts in a full ball, Nuwantha brings his bat out in front to stab it down but seems to have squeezed out an inside edge onto the front pad. The replays suggest so, and the on-field decision is upheld. India lose their last review.

200 up for Sri Lanka! Pitched full on middle and leg. Keshara Nuwantha lunges in front and clips it into mid-wicket for a quick single.

Another prolonged appeal for caught behind, but Ahsan Raza stays unmoved. The players around the bat seem to have heard something, but India have burnt all their reviews. Spins away from the batter after drifting in. Asitha Fernando is sucked on the front foot to defend, but the ball spins square and beats the outside edge. UltraEdge shows a flat line. A spike does appear, but that is when the bat hits the ground.

OUT! CAUGHT! The fight from Sonal Dinusha is over, and with him goes Sri Lanka’s hopes of avoiding defeat in this Test. This is tossed up from around the wicket with a leg gully in place. Dinusha lunges to tuck it away, but the ball spins back with a bit of bounce to catch the inside edge. It clips the pads before going straight into the waiting hands of Dhruv Jurel at leg gully, who is present under the helmet. He crouches and gobbles it up. End of a top effort in this Test by Dinusha.

OUT! TIMBER! Just too good for a number 9. This is speared in from around the wicket, short in length in line with the off stump. Prabath Jayasuriya stays back to defend, but the ball lands and straightens off the deck to whistle past the outside edge, and it clatters into the off pole. Two in two for Suthar and he is on a hat-trick now. India need 2 more wickets for the win.

Full and straight, around off, safely negotiated by Lahiru as he leans on and smothers the spin.

Beauty! Drifts the ball away from the batter from around the stump, full outside off. Kumara is drawn in frontf to block but the ball fizzes past the outside edge.

OUT! EDGED AND CAUGHT! A game-sealing over from Suthar. Triple whammy for him as he completes a well-deserved 5-wicket haul. The second of his very brief Test career. Tossed up, full and outside off, at 93 kph. Kumara lunges forward to defend but plays for the turn, but the ball goes on with the arm. He gets the faintest outside edge, and Pant collects safely to his left behind the stumps. A prolonged appeal for caught behind and up goes the finger. Kumara walks off without bothering to review. Sri Lanka are 199/9, with India just one wicket away from victory.

Oh, that could have been trouble for Dinusha. He steps out early and Jadeja shortens the length, aiming to get the ball to spin down leg. Sonal is nowhere near the pitch of the ball but just about manages to get in line with the ball and prevents it from going past him.

Shorter and it keeps a bit low, on leg. Sonal stays back and tickles it fine of the leg slip fielder. The short fine leg fielder gives chase and hauls it in. Two taken.

Top edge but safe. Loopy ball, outside the line of the leg stump. Dinusha goes for the sweep straight away. It pops out of a top edge but lands well in front of the sub fielder, Sarfaraz Khan, at deep backward square leg. They cross.

 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! One brings two for India quickly and they smell blood now. Digs it in short, veering down leg. Dickwella is caught off guard, still adjusting his feet as the ball arrives towards him. He backs away toward the leg side, badly misjudging the length, and by the time he realises how close it actually is, there's no room left to free his arms to access the off side. As a result, the outside edge carries all the way through to the keeper as Pant takes a regulation catch. Krishna has dismissed Dickwella both times in this Test. Sri Lanka slip from 142/4 to 156/6, needing another 216 runs.

Miscued but safe. Hangs it up there, does Kuldeep, on middle. With the field packed for the reverse sweep, Dickwella goes for the slog sweep this time and takes the risk of going against the turn. A top edge is found but it lands safely well in front of deep square leg. Ravindra Jadeja runs in a bit too hard and lets it through and the batters come back for the second.

Drifts across the batter from around the stumps. Niroshan Dickwella gets in front to defend, but gets beaten on the inside edge and is hit on the pads.

FOUR! Finds the gap nicely and 150 COMES UP FOR SRI LANKA! Around the leg pole on a fuller length, Niroshan Dickwella fetches the ball and plays the reverse sweep, hitting it all along the ground and in front of square. The fielder from deep backward point sprints to his left but the ball wins the race.

BEATEN! Turn and bounce on this one. Short around off, Dhananjaya de Silva actually does well to drag the bat inside the line as the ball zips past the outside edge.

OUT! RELIEF FOR INDIA! The bowling change works like a charm for India. Dhananjaya de Silva was caught at slip yesterday off Jadeja’s bowling, but the celebrations were cut short as he had overstepped. This time, though, Jadeja has his foot well behind the line. At 89.6 kph, full and just outside off. Dhananjaya de Silva goes for the paddle sweep but the ball seemingly pops up a bit, and he can only find a top edge. As a result, the ball bobbles straight up and Manav Suthar at short fine leg gets underneath it and completes a routine catch. Sri Lanka are 142/5 as the captain falls. They need 230 more runs to win.

At 80.4 kph, full on middle, Dhananjaya de Silva shimmies down the track and drills it down to the left of mid on. The fielder dives in that direction and makes a sharp stop. Keeps them down to a single.

SIX! FIFTY IN STYLE FOR SONAL DINUSHA! Another excellent batting display from the young man. Appreciated by the coach and the entire Sri Lankan squad. This has been a genuinely composed innings throughout. Drops it fuller in length, around the off stump. Sonal Dinusha latches onto it and nails the slog sweep behind deep mid-wicket for a biggie. The partnership is now worth 91, and Sri Lanka need 234 runs.

A big shout for LBW, but it is turned down. There were two sounds and the replays, followed by the UltraEdge, confirm that there was an underedge. Full and on middle. Dhananjaya de Silva goes for the sweep and the ball deflects off the underedge onto the pads.

Much more convincing appeal for LBW this time but the finger stays down. Straightens off the deck, on a length, on middle and leg. De Silva attempts the fine sweep but it goes under the bat to hit him on the front pad. By the time Shubman Gill can make up his mind, the timer runs out. The ball may have pitched outside the line of the leg stump.

FOUR! That will be a FIFTY for Dhananjaya de Silva. This has been a gritty knock from the Lankan skipper in challenging conditions. Fractionally short, on off. Dhananjaya presses back and makes room to punch it past point for a boundary to reach his 20th Test half-century.

FOUR! Edged away. This is very full, outside off. Dhananjaya de Silva goes hard on the drive. The outside edge flies well wide of Devdutt Padikkal at gully, who is on his knees there and stands no chance. Sri Lanka need 243 more runs.

OUT! EDGED AND GONE! Manav Suthar breaks through. Lahiru Udara cannot believe it, but he has been given the marching orders by the third umpire. From around the wicket, on a length, around off. Udara has a slightly tentative prod at the ball. It spins away to catch the outside edge. It dips on Dhruv Jurel, who is in really tight at gully. He has the helmet on and is on his knees there. He gets his hands out in front to scoop the ball. The third umpire is summoned for a check. Jurel tries to get his hands underneath the ball, but the fingers of his right hand are split as it hits his hand. Replays seem to suggest that the ball drags slightly along the ground, but the third umpire feels otherwise and is satisfied that Jurel has his fingers underneath the ball. That's a debatable dismissal. Sri Lanka are 47/4, chasing 372.

Gets rapped on the front pad, and it looks pretty adjacent but the UltraEdge confirms that there was an inside edge.

DRAMA! Ravindra Jadeja has found the edge, and it is taken as well at slip, only for him to turn back and realise that he has overstepped. A massive reprieve for the Sri Lankan skipper. Sonal Dinusha, who is the next man in, had put his helmet on and was about to walk out. This straightens off the deck, on a good length. It is angled in at the stumps and Dhananjaya has to play it. He presents a straight bat, but the ball turns away enough to catch the outside edge, and it is snaffled by KL Rahul to his left, but it all goes in vain.

Shorter and on off. Dhananjaya de Silva stabs it down.

At 137.1 kph, outside off, on a back of a length. Udara lets the ball come on and stands tall on top of the bounce. Punches it firmly towards extra cover, where Yashasvi Jaiswal gets low but the ball bounces awkwardly for him. It goes behind but Jaiswal recovers well and keeps the batters down to a single.

A prolonged appeal for LBW, but the finger stays down. It seemed to be sliding down leg and the height seemed a factor as well but Shubman Gill wants to take a chance. Angled into the right-hander, on a good length, on middle and leg. Dhananjaya de Silva pushes out in front with a straight bat. The ball nips back to go past the inside edge and thuds into the front pad. There is no bat involved but the Ball Tracking has the ball clipping the leg outer half of the leg stump. Closer than it looked initially, but the on-field decision is upheld. India keep their review, though.

He ends up edging it towards first slip, where KL Rahul squats down and takes a sharp catch. Sri Lanka are 21/3 now, in a chase of 372.

There's an appeal for caught behind now, but it is turned down. Mohammed Siraj is very hopeful as usual, but he gets some support from behind the stumps, and the review is taken. Coming to the delivery, Siraj goes wider of the crease and slants the ball back in off a good length. Lahiru Udara hangs back to defend, but the ball beats the inside edge and seems to have brushed the back pad on its way to the keeper. The third umpire confirms with UltraEdge that there's no bat involved and there's no need for Ball Tracking as it is too high, so it can't be LBW. It stays NOT OUT, and India burn a review here.

Fullish length on off, angling in, Udara looks to drive but gets an inside edge towards mid-wicket.

Siraj takes pace off now, pitching it up on off stump. Udara comes forward and pushes it out with a straight bat.

On a length and around middle, Udara hops back and wrists it through mid-wicket for a single. Hang on, there's a run-out check. The replays roll in and show that there is a direct hit at the keeper's end, but Pasindu Sooriyabandara is well in. A bit casual from him, though, not dragging the bat in and just jogging over the line.

OUT! LBW! India successfully overturn the on-field decision. A huge, huge appeal, and Manav Suthar is literally begging the umpire to give it out, but he doesn't get the decision in his favour. This time Shubman Gill does review it after a bit of deliberation. Excellent length from Suthar, landing it on middle and the ball slides on with the arm. It is a nervy attempt at the block from Pasindu Sooriyabandara, but he misses and gets hit on the back leg. Slightly shorter on middle, Udara gets right behind the line and keeps it down to mid on.

Well bowled, and well played as well. Good-length delivery, pushed back in towards the middle stump. Udara stays back and plays it late, tucking it to the right of the fielder in front of square leg and picks up a quick single.

Pitched fuller on off, nipping it back in. Fernando puts a confident stride forward and blocks it off.

OUT! CAUGHT! Prasidh Krishna nearly misjudged it, but he manages to hold on. A surprise short ball from Mohammed Siraj, directed right at the batter's face. Nishan Fernando is taken aback but goes after it and goes for the hook, mistiming it down to long leg. Krishna comes in a bit but then stops, eventually taking it low in front of him. Good catch given the swirling wind, and once again the opening partnership for Sri Lanka doesn't work out. 359 more needed for the win.

Higher and slower from Suthar, lands it just outside off. Udara leans on and has a look but leaves it alone.

Flatter one, at the stumps, relatively full. Udara has a tentative push at it and gets an inside edge on the leg side.

Floated up outside off, Udara hangs back and opens the bat face late, edging it down through the short third region for a couple of runs.

A prolonged appeal for LBW, but the umpire says 'NO.' Manav Suthar seems interested but in the end, Shubman Gill opts against the review. Flighted ball around leg, turning from leg to middle. Lahiru Udara misses the sweep and gets hit on the pads. Replays suggest that the ball might have pitched outside the leg stump line.

Quicker one, on a length and just outside off. This one slides on and Udara just presses back, leaving it alone.

A top edge, but Udara will get away with it. Tossed up around middle and leg, Udara goes to sweep against the spin but gets a top edge. Luckily for him, the ball lands near the vacant short fine leg region, and a single is taken.
