Takes some pace off and goes into the pitch, bowling it over off, Ashutosh Sharma slaps it with an open stance, like a tennis forehand and over the bowler's head for a couple of runs.

Full and straight, misses the yorker by a couple of inches. Stubbs hits the low full toss to sweeper cover for just a run.

A quick off-cutter, full and around off, Stubbs ends up chipping it across in front of mid-wicket and gets across for another single.

OUT! CAUGHT! Excellent bowling and Eshan Malinga does get a wicket as well. Bowls it slower, and well short around off. Ashutosh Sharma tries to fetch it and force the pull but has to generate his own pace and can't quite get on top of the bounce either. The ball gets lofted towards deep mid-wicket where Abhinav Manohar takes a simple catch and a fine fighting knock from Sharma comes to an end. He made 41 off 26 balls!

Full and straight, nails it in the blockhole, Mitchell Starc can only jam it out and scamper through for one. A direct hit at the bowler's end would have been curtains for Starc.

FOUR! DC end on a positive note but it doesn't seem to be nearly enough. Eshan Malinga goes full again and looks to sling the ball across the off stump. Tristan Stubbs sets up deep in the crease and clubs it away wide enough of long on to find the fence. Delhi Capitals finish with 133/7 on the board!

SIX! That is raw power from Ashutosh Sharma! Back-of-a-length delivery, around off and middle, Sharma lays into the shot and uses the bottom hand to force it high and over long on for a biggie.

On a good length, pushed well outside off, Sharma tries to be cheeky and attempts a reverse ramp but fails to get any bat on it.

Short of a good length and outside off, Sharma goes back and past the off stump before punching it sweetly to deep point for only a single.

Slower bumper over middle, over the head, but Stubbs gets up and pulls it down in front of square leg for a single.

Ashutosh is probably better off backing his strength rather than attempting these cheeky shots. Good length, wide outside off, Sharma shuffles well across and looks to lap but gets hit on the back pad. They scamper through for a leg bye.

A dot to end and 9 off the 19th over is a job well done by Harshal. Another slower bumper, dug in well short and outside off. Stubbs walks well past the off stump, trying to pull it fine but misses.

Full and around off, slinging away as well, Stubbs ends up snatching at the cover drive and gets it straight back into the stumps at the other end. Eshan Malinga almost got a finger on it and had he gotten something on the ball, Ashutosh Sharma was well out of his crease.

FOUR! Well placed! A slower bumper, banged in well into the pitch, Stubbs rises up and gets on top of the bounce, forcing the pull down and in front of mid-wicket for a boundary.

Full and around off, Stubbs looks to hit it through the off side but gets an inside edge to short fine leg for a single.

An off-cutter now, bowled back of a length and around off. Ashutosh waits back and tries to cut it fine but gets it off the gloves and down in front of the keeper.

Short-pitched delivery, angled in towards the chest, Ashutosh Sharma goes hard at the pull and hits it straight to deep mid-wicket for just a single.

FOUR! Top shot! Full and straight from Eshan, Tristan Stubbs backs away early and converts it into a low full toss before smashing it through covers for a boundary. The 50-run stand is also up between these two!

Wide! Slower one, into the pitch but doesn't come out right and goes beyond the tramline outside off.

Wide! Attempted slower bumper around off, Ashutosh Sharma looks to leap up and ramp but fails to get to it. Wide called for height.

FOUR! In the air but in the gap as well! Pace on, short and wide, Sharma stays back and manages to power it behind point for a boundary. The 100 is also up for DC!

FOUR! Two wides in the over and the two extra deliveries going for boundaries. Pitches it up on off, Sharma gets under it and manages to smash it well over mid off for another boundary. 12 off it!

Hard-length delivery, on a tight line around off, Ashutosh Sharma hangs back and manages to jam it down through the third region for a single.

A bit fuller and wider now, outside off, Stubbs looks to drive on the up but gets it off the outer half of the blade to deep third for one more.

A slower bumper from Cummins, bowled over middle. Sharma waits well and manages to get the ramp over the keeper's head. Not much pace on it though and the fielder from deep third is able to keep it down to a brace.

On a hard length and angled into the batter, Sharma gets cramped up and just dead bats it to the on side and scampers through for a single.

Just back of a length over off and middle, angling in, Stubbs tucks it straight to mid-wwicket.

Hard-length delivery, sliding onto the pads, Stubbs presses back and clips it away through backward square leg for a couple of runs. Pat Cummins ends his bowling spell with figures of 4-0-19-3.

SIX! OH, HELLO? Sliding on the middle stump line, too full from Zeeshan, Ashutosh Sharma comes dancing down the track and lofs it over long on for a huge six.

Fuller one, on off, eased away into the off side.

SIX! INTENT! That has gone miles in the air and goes the distance too! Pitched right up, fuller and floated around off, Ashutosh Sharma shimmies down the track and picks the bones out of it by hoisting it behind the sightscreen for a mammoth six.

Pulls the length back, does Zeeshan. On middle and drifting at the pads, Ashutosh Sharma hangs back and looks to punch across, but ends up chipping it in the vacant mid-wicket region. With no one there in the circle, Zeeshan himself runs towards the ball and keeps the batters to a single.

Tossed up at the stumps. Stubbs gets forward and blocks it out. A good over for the Capitals. 14 runs coming out of it.

OUT! RUN OUT! A huge communication mix-up between the batters and DC lose another wicket here. Zeeshan Ansari slides on the middle and leg stump line, on a dragged length, Tristan Stubbs hangs back and tucks it with soft hands to the mid-wicket region. They run the first one comfortably as the ball rolls towards the deep, which is chased and picked by Aniket Verma who runs in from deep mid-wicket. Vipraj Nigam completes the run and is stuck at the batting end, nowhere interested in taking the double, but Tristan Stubbs from the other end taps the bat and rushes to the keeper's end for the second run. However, Vipraj is caught ball-watching and stands still. Stubbs crosses him at the batting end as Aniket Verma throws it towards the bowler, Zeeshan Ansari, and he collects the ball and casually breaks the stumps. The umpires confirm that it is Vipraj Nigam who is run out as Stubbs went past him before the stumps were broken by Ansari. 

A googly, on a dragged length and just outside off. Ashutosh goes deep in the crease, and dabs it with soft hands to short third. A single taken.

The wrong'un now, around off and turning in, Sharma stays back and stabs it down in front of short third for a single.

Flatter delivery outside off, slapped away in front of point for one more.

Quicker one, on a good length and on off, punched away from the crease and down to long off for yet another single.

Good length again and around off, Sharma punches it away through covers and gets across for another run.

Outside off, at 130.9 kph on a length, Stubbs stays back and punches it through cover for a couple of runs.

Flighted fuller, swirling on the leg stump, Tristan Stubbs leans ahead and drives inside out to long off for a single.

Slow through the air, at 85.4 kph, on middle, Vipraj Nigam carves it out to deep cover. Sachin Baby from long off covers good ground and runs to his left to stop the ball. Two taken.

Fired in, fuller on middle, Vipraj Nigam squeezes it out to mid-wicket.

SIX! First ball of spin this evening and it has been dispatched! A long hop from Zeeshan to begin with, around middle, Vipraj Nigam rocks back and smokes it high and handsome over deep mid-wicket for a biggie.

A bit slower through the air, slightly short and around off. This one grips and bounces extra and Nigam almost ends up toe-ending it towards cover.

Flatter delivery, pushed through at the stumps, Nigam pushes it back out on the deck.

Beaten! Quicker through the air, a bit full around off and quickly turning away. Nigam tries to cut but mises.

Quick and flat again outside off, tapped away straight to cover-point.

FOUR! Streaky but Vipraj won't mind! Nagging length, fired in towards off and middle, Nigam backs away to cut but gets a genuine outside edge wide of the keeper and the ball rolls away into the deep third fence.

The perfect yorker, on the base of off and middle, Nigam hangs back and manages to dig it out into the off side for a single.

Keeps the length very full and angles it into the pads. Stubbs fails to flick it away as the ball thuds off the pads and rolls to the on side. They get a leg bye.

Just gets enough on it, does Vipraj! Pitched up around off, Vipraj Nigam hangs back and tries to power it over covers but ends up miscuing it over wide mid off for a single.

Fuller in length, on off, driven on the front foot and drilled back past the bowler towards long off. The fielder from long on runs to his left and cuts it off for a couple of runs.

A bumper now, over middle and around shoulder height. Stubbs mistimes the pull towards backward square leg and picks up a single.

Gets away with it again, does Vipraj Nigam! Eshan Malinga attempts that slower yorker again and ends up bowling a full toss on middle and leg. However, this one dips late and Nigam is almost completely undone as he swings across the line. In the end, the ball gets lofted over the infield and two fielders from square leg and deep mid-wicket converge but it falls safely. Just a single then.

OUT! EDGED AND GONE! Jaydev Unadkat gets into the wicket-taking act now and this is a huge wicket as well. Unadkat comes around the wicket and spears in a very full delivery around the off stump, gets it to straighten late. KL Rahul stays put and just looks to drive through covers. The ball, though, ends up taking a thick outside edge and goes low to the right of the keeper. Ishan Kishan dives across and pouches it brilliantly. Rahul departs for just 10 (14) and DC have lost half their side for just 29 runs.

Hard length around off, angled in but nibbles away late again. Vipraj Nigam gets right behind the line to block it off.

Comes from over the wicket now and bowls it on a good length around middle, angling it across. Nigam gets leg side of the ball and pats it down to cover.

Back to around the wicket, hits the deck hard and keeps it around off. Stubbs punches it down to covers.

Clever change-up to end the over. Slower delivery, actually a slower bumper, around off and Tristan Stubbs is through the attempted pull way too early, missing the ball completely.

Oh, did that carry? Malinga starts with a full ball on off. KL Rahul looks to drive it straight back but mistimes it. Replays show that the ball bounced well in front of Malinga who did get two hands on it.

On a good length, in the channel and this is caressed on the up through covers for a single by KL.

Slingy delivery, full and tailing into the pads, Stubbs flicks it away down to deep backward square leg for a single.

Goes full and straight now, finds the blockhole and gets a bit of tail on it again. Rahul jams it out firmly to mid off.

Pitched up on middle and leg, KL Rahul with a glorious-looking on drive but it is hit straight to long on for just another single.

Oh, that didn't come out right! An attempted slower delivery, ends up being a floaty full toss at the hips. Stubbs only manages to tuck it down in front of square leg. No run taken either.

FOUR! Lovely! Harshal begins with an overpitched delivery outside off, KL Rahul gets forward well and punches it a tad uppishly but well wide of mid off for a boundary.

Much better length! Back of a length and angled in from outside off, Rahul is taken aback by the extra bounce but manages to dab it down to covers.

A bit short and way too wide, Rahul reaches out and just taps it to the left of deep point for only a single.

Hard length around the fifth stump line, Axar Patel stands tall and slaps the ball away down to the right of covers and into the deep for a couple of runs.

OUT! CAUGHT! Pat Cummins can do no wrong, it seems! Excellent change-up from Harshal Patel as he takes pace off and bowls it on a fuller length around off. Axar Patel looks to hit through the line, but he is through his shot way too early. One hand comes off the handle and the ball gets skewed up over wide mid off. Cummins tracks back and takes a fine catch over his shoulder to dismiss his opposite number. DC crumbling in the first 6 overs and they are now 26/4!

Pitched up a bit wide of the off stump, Tristan Stubbs leans across and punches the drive straight to covers.

OUT! STRAIGHT UP AND TAKEN! Pat Cummins, the skipper leading from the front for SRH! Delhi Capitals have now lost three in the Powerplay! A dream start for the Sunrisers! Pat Cummins continues to bash the hard length, this time a tinge fuller, on the leg stump line, skidding through. Abishek Porel gets inside the line of the ball and looks to whip it across to the leg side. Ends up getting a thick leading edge and the ball flies miles up in the night sky, over the square leg region. Ishan Kishan calls for his catch, runs forward to his right , keeps his eyes locked on the ball, and dives to complete the catch. DC are 15/3 now, in deep trouble!

FOUR! That is some way to get off the mark! A rare pitched-up delivery from Pat, full and on the stumps, Axar Patel prods forward and nonchalantly drives it straight down the ground for a boundary.

Angled around off, on a length, punched to the off side.

On the nagging length, over top of middle, Axar Patel gets on the back foot and knocks it back.

Another one on that hard length, around off, Axar Patel cuts it to the point fielder.

Short of a good length, at 141.0 kph, around off, slapped off the back foot by Axar, but straight to the cover fielder. What a spell this has been from Cummins. His figures read 3-0-12-3 so far.

Lands outside leg, on a shorter length, KL Rahul hops across and nudges it to deep square leg for a single.

Going across middle, on a length, Abishek Porel steers it away to deep backward square leg for one more.

Slower one from Unadkat, on a length, at off, KL Rahul gives himself some room and looks to slash, but chops it on the surface.

Pitched outside leg, on a good length, KL Rahul flicks uppishly to deep mid-wicket. Abhinav Manohar in the deep, picks it on the bounce. They cross for a single.

A fantastic over from Jaydev Unadkat this! Comes from around the stumps, and hits the hard length, just around off, KL Rahul weighs back and tries to punch through covers, but gets beaten on the outside edge.

OUT! INSIDE EDGE AND CAUGHT BEHIND! A top start for SRH skipper, Pat Cummins! Both DC openers are back in the dugout with just 6 on the board. Pat Cummins continues to hit the hard length, around the middle and leg stump line. It lands, skids and bounces a bit more. Faf du Plessis premeditates and comes charging down the track to whack it through the leg side, but gets an inside edge. The ball carries back to Ishan Kishan who makes no mistake. 

Top drawer fielding there! That was traveling! A yard behind fuller length, outside off, KL Rahul cracks the drive, and hits it to the off side, on the up. Sachin Baby dives towards the right and makes a superb stop.

Good-length delivery, on off, worked through point for a single.

On that in-between length again, at 143.7 kph, Abishek Porel gets behind it and punches it back to the bowler.

FOUR! Nicely picked up! The first boundary for Delhi Capitals! Cummins goes a bit fuller, on middle, Abishek Porel picks up nicely and whips it on the bounce to deep mid-wicket for a boundary.

Shortens the length, on the leg stump line. Abishek Porel knocks it down to mid on.

Angling across off, on a hard length, at 128.7 kph, Faf du Plessis waits for it and cuts it between backward point and short third. One taken.

Hits the deck hard, around off, nipping back in, Abishek Porel steers it to the deep square leg region for a single.

Swing and a miss! Pitches on the leg stump line, angling toward middle, on a length, Faf du Plessis dances down the track and swings across the line for the pull, but misses.

Over the top of middle, on a good length, with some extra lift off the pitch. Faf du Plessis adjusts well and runs it down to short third.

DIRECT HIT! But Faf is safe. Back of a length, angling on the stumps, Faf du Plessis shapes to pull it into the leg side, but due to that extra bounce, the ball goes off the bottom end of the bat, and travels to the long on region. Faf casually gets to the other end, but a direct hit comes from the deep at the bowling end, but the replays show that du Plessis just made it home.

OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! What a delivery to begin with from the SRH skipper! The crowd erupts at Uppal as DC lose their first wicket in the very first delivery! A proper Test match length from Cummins, hard length, outside off, slightly nipping away from the batter, with a good bit of bounce on it. Karun Nair rises with the bounce to punch into the off side, but plays it a bit lose with no proper footwork, and plays it away from the body. A thick and healthy outside edge is found and Ishan Kishan does the rest behind the wickets. Karun Nair's lean run continues as he departs for a golden duck.

Nagging length, over the top of off, nipping back in a touch. Faf du Plessis gets a thick inside edge onto the pads, and the ball rolls into the leg side.
